As we step into the 2025- 2026 school year, I could not be more excited to lead West Jefferson High School into a milestone moment. For seven decades, our Buccaneers have stood for resilience, excellence and unity. This year, we honor that legacy with our theme: “Bringing Out The Best: 70 Years of Buc Pride.”

This theme is more than a slogan, it’s a call to action for our VILLAGE. It challenges each of us, students, faculty, parents and community partners, to push beyond the ordinary, to elevate our standards and to inspire greatness in ourselves and one another. Together, we will carry forward the traditions that have defined BUC Nation while embracing innovation and bold new ideas that will prepare our scholars for a bright future.

At West Jefferson, bringing out the best means more than striving for academic excellence. It means building character, showing kindness and leading with integrity. It means recognizing that every voice matters and every contribution strengthens our Buc family. It’s the way we work, the way we lead and the way we celebrate our victories, big and small.
